Wow, I cannot believe we have been open 1 month! It has been a crazy month filled with anxious moments getting everything ready to go and hoping the website works functionally and looks great. Its been challenging and so much fun. This is my passion and I want to share it with all of you
My favorite part of this month has been the feedback I have been getting from women, some that I know and some I have never met. This theme of not feeling worthy or not feeling enough is very prevalent. I too understand these feelings oh too well. This is the reason why I started this business.
I was very unhappy in my life for a long time, always trying to please everyone else, and never feeling good enough no matter how perfect I tried to be. One day, I went to a new church and the preacher was amazing and engaging. He was talking about not feeling like you measure up. I was immersed in his words and then he said these three words that changed my life. He stated " You are Enough" just as you are. I instantly started crying. It was such an overwhelming feeling to have someone say that. I felt like he was speaking right to me.
I felt this weight just lift off of me.This burden of trying to be perfect had worn me down I really believed his words and decided right then and there that I was going to change. I was going to stop being so hard on myself in the vicious self- destructive way I had been accustomed to my whole life. I let others influence me into believing all these negative things about myself and it was time to end all that.
I started to change my thought patterns. Its a journey of change that I took and it was little changes daily. I had to keep reminding myself when I started having the negative thoughts creep in to change it to a positive thought. You have to retrain your brain to think positively instead of negatively and it takes work. But it is so worth it. You will never want to go back once you allow your true, authentic self to resurface.
Starting this business means so much to me. I want other women to love themselves just as they are. We deserve that. The t-shirts are just a way to remind yourself to love yourself and be proud of who you are. Wear them proudly. I love seeing you wear them, It makes my heart smile.
